PewDiePie, once the king of YouTube, has now decided to stop shannigans and move to GNU / Linux operating system. And not simply to move to GNU / Linux, but stop using Photoshop and move to GNU Image Manipulation program, known as GIMP. Go back to using OBS. And even gave a rather okay-ish explanation of GNU / Linux and his reasons to move to it, to his 110 million followers, in a video he published titled: I installed Linux (so should you).

So some time ago I have seen new video poped up on social media platforms about PewDiePie switching. I never watched hist video to be true as I'm not following most populars YouTubers. Do not rly like creators like Mr Beast as all of the videos are kinda like ads repetetive and boring at least for me. Though this video caught my attention. My first exceptation was that it's going to be another of YT videos in style of like "Let's install Ubuntu together".

Was suprised that he acually went deeper on how Linux works. The most funny thing is that he called himself not being an tech person but in his video he included lot of ricing of his whole DE. I loved it as it kills the idea that Linux is only for people that know how to use terminal. Ye terminal gives you much more power but most of the common distros are plug and play. Can confirm as my aunt is now proud daily driver of the Linux Mint (Windows 11 was nightmare for that laptop and Mint gave it new life).

Overlay I liked this video as it wasn't generic YT tutorial but acually something that teaches people about Linux more. We need more videos like this to let people know that Linux is no so scary!

I migrated my Matrix server to the Kubernetes-based Element Server Suite (ESS) Community Edition. It streamlines setup and adds features like MAS and Matrix RTC, though the learning curve is steep for Kubernetes newcomers. Overall, a promising step toward easier, decentralized homeserver hosting.
